Lydiard Plain PV

Lydiard Plain PV is an existing 33/132kV distribution generation connection linking the 69.8MW Bradenstoke Solar Park installation to the SSEN distribution network.

Integrum Power Engineering were contracted by Omexom to design the protection & control systems associated with non-contestable works to modify the existing Tee-Off 132kV OHL connection to a ‘Loop-In, Loop-Out’ connection. The scope of works we delivered included re-designing the protection & control panels associated with the SSEN 132kV circuits to include protection, control and interlocking of additional 132kV switchgear and inter-tripping with the DG 33kV circuit breaker.

Ferrybridge Multifuel Power Station

Ferrybridge Multifuel Power Station is a 68MW multifuel power plant located on the site of the now defunct Ferrybridge C coal-fired power station. The power station is owned and operated by Multifuel Energy Limited, a joint venture between SSE and Wheelabrator Technologies Inc.

Integrum Power Engineering were engaged by Multifuel Energy to carry out reactive maintenance and repair in response to a fault occurring on the site 132/33kV network.

The scope of works we delivered included protection relay and circuit breaker testing, analysis of fault records and protection settings and power transformer condition assessment. Integrum Power Engineering identified errors in the protection scheme covering the 132/33kV network and designed new protection settings and related protection scheme modifications to enhance the reliability and availability of the high voltage power distribution network.

North West Electrification Programme

The North West Electrification Programme is a £400m programme of works to enhance Network Rail’s mainline rail network in the North West of England to include high voltage overhead line electrification.

Integrum Power Engineering were engaged to design, test & commission an enhanced inter-substation protection scheme to increase the availability and safety of the high voltage power distribution network on a section of the route.

The scope of works we delivered included a detailed design for accelerated distance protection and inter-substation emergency mass trip functionality complying with the requirements of the IEC 61850 international standard for communication networks and systems for power utility automation. Implementation of our design included configuration and testing of an inter-substation data telecommunications network utilising Cisco industrial network switches and configuration of the Programmable Scheme Logic and IEC 61850 communication features of MiCOM Intelligent Electronic Device protection relays.
